Despite the benefits of 0845 and 0800 numbers, the majority of businesses large and small opt for 0870 numbers. With these numbers the customer simply pays the standard BT National NTS Rate* when calling you from a normal BT line and you pay nothing to receive a call when diverted to a UK landline. By using this type of number you can therefore give your company a professional, national image without incurring any incoming call charges. Additional charges do apply for mobile and international diversions, however. Please see our price list for rates.

WARNING:
Ofcom, the organisation responsible for overseeing telephone numbering, has announced that callshare revenue from 0870 numbers will shortly cease. Although there is no callshare revenue paid to customers subscribing to dmNumber 0870 numbers, the revenue paid to us by the carrier networks is used to cover the cost of diverting incoming calls to your chosen destination number. The end result is that when this callshare ceases to be paid to us we will have to start charging you for receiving incoming calls on your 0870 number. The exact charging structure has yet to be determined, though it is likely to be the same as for Pro 0207 numbers, which is 5.25ppm + VAT. We therefore do not recommend that you choose an 0870 number unless you have a short term requirement.

The 07005x numbers are known as "Personal Numbers" and look very much like mobile phone numbers.

They are generally more expensive to call than 08's and 0207 numbers (callers are charged at BT's "D" Rate which is 8.38ppm in the Evening and at Weekends, and 14.22ppm during the day*) and as such they are more suitable for contacting individuals than for sales use, although they make good field support numbers for staff who are on call.

But the best thing about our dmNumber 070058 numbers is that, unless you opt for an optional Gold (i.e. particularly memorable) number, subject to the Free For Life usage policy, they are yours for free for life with no set up fee and no rental charge, making them perfect personal contact numbers and ideal for trying out our advanced dmNumber services.

070059 numbers are very similar to 070058 numbers: Subject to the Free For Life usage policy, they are totally free to setup (unless you opt for a Gold number) and there is no monthly rental charge. However, callers are charged at BT's more expensive "K" Rates (10.63ppm at Weekends, 21.27 during the evening, and 31.91ppm during the day*).
