Like all our Unmetered Internet access options, the Connect 247 Evening and Weekend package allows you to connect to the Internet without worrying about the call charges. This is because you connect to the Internet using an 0808 number which is just like an 0800 number in that it is free to call - you won't see any charges for dialling it on your telephone bill.
However, unlike any of our other Connect 247 options, this package does not allow you to connect to the Internet any time of the day or night any day of the week. Instead, this package can only be used in the evenings and at weekends - to be specific from 6pm to 8am Monday to Friday and from 6pm Friday to 8am Monday. You will be unable to connect to the Internet at other times using this package.
So why choose the Evening and Weekend package when, for just £1 more, you can subscribe to our Lite package, which allows access to the Internet at any time of the day, any day of the week? The answer is simple. Although both packages have maximum usage limits of 80 hours per month, the Evening and Weekend service has a lower contention ratio. Indeed, at just 10:1 (the same as our £14.99 per month Connect 247 Standard package) you should not have to re-dial as often as you would be necessary if you used a Lite package (which has a contention ratio of 15:1) in order to connect to the Internet. Both packages have a 2 hour session cutoff time, which means that the connection will automatically be dropped if you are online for 2 hours in one go, but you will be able to re-connect afterwards as normal.
