The Connect 247 Standard service is intended home users who use the Internet for several hours a day, every day. It allows you to connect to the Internet at any time of the day or night, seven days a week without incurring any call charges for your Internet connection. This is because you connect to the Internet using an 0808 number which is just like an 0800 number in that it is free to call - you won't see any charges for dialling it on your telephone bill.

This package includes up to 7 email addresses, and 10Mb of personal webspace. In line with the fact that it is intended for frequent home Internet users, there is a generous maximum usage limit of 160 hours per month - that's the equivalent of over 5 hours a day, every day of the month. There is also a low contention ratio of just 10:1, which in plain English means that as a rule of thumb you should not have to re-dial too often in order to establish a connection to the Internet. A 2 hour session cutoff time applies to this and all our other regular Unmetered packages, which means that the connection will automatically be dropped if you are online for 2 hours in one go, but you will be able to re-connect afterwards as normal.
